4 'Femalefueled' Headlines We Got Geeked Up About

 

It’t 2019, and for the first time a pregnant women lands on the cover of a business magazine. Although we #femalefueled entrepreneurs wish this was a typo, we welcome and celebrate the wins. Awesome cover for Audrey Gelman who is CEO of the wing, a co working social club that creates a unique space for everyone especially women to thrive in business and entrepreneurship. Sarah Kunst, is one of the ‘few and great’ black female Venture Capitalist and we couldn’t be more excited when she launched her fund last year. Recently Kunst fund, Cleo Capital gave an update sharing how she invested in female focused and led businesses. “Cleo Capital is the third largest venture capital fund to be started by a black woman in America” and we at Plum2.0 is so here for this great success! If you want to be like Sarah, continue you on following Plum2.0 we’ll explore how you want to plan for a career in Venture but until then, follow her advice: “Show up and do the work.”

A Latina leads the first VC backed tech accelerator! Yyyaassss! We are so excited to learn this past summer, Startup advisor and serial entrepreneur Lucrece Borrego, is leading EmprendeLatino. The accelerator launches this fall in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We can’t wait to see all of the new ideas and companies coming from the first cohort, especially from the Latinas in the group!
